Some of the skin disorders are:

Lesion

Change in tissue formation.

Papule

A firm raised lesion

Pustule

Similar to papule but contains puss.

Seborrhea

Excessive secretion of disturbed quantity of sebum is collected upon the skin in the form of oily coating. This is known as seborrhea. Some times a burning sensation is felt

White heads

These are caused by pores getting clogged with hardened oil. Here the pores are not open. They therefore show up as tiny white pearly lumps beneath the surface of the skin. They usually form on oily skin.

Black heads

In this case the pores are open and clogged sebum is exposed to the air. Oxidation takes place turning it black in color.

Acne

This is one of the most common skin disorders which primarily affects the adolescents as it can be caused by increase of sex hormones which takes place during puberty. This imbalance of sex hormones causes the sebaceous glands to secrete more sebum (Sebum is a semi-fluid oily substance which lubricates the skin). The pores of the skin enlarge and get blocked with hardened sebum. This result in black heads and pimples.

Some of these develop into pustule which rupture and spread infection. Both men and women are affected by acne, but young men are more likely to have more severe, longer lasting forms of acne.

Acne should never be neglected as it causes extensive scarring. Clinical and professional treatment is necessary.

Having oily skin can be the worse thing to handle at any age. Oily skin mainly happens in teenagers; however, it can happen to anyone. Normally, with age the skin becomes drier instead of oily. Oily skin can cause pimples, acne, and mainly causes blackheads.

The causes of oily skin can come from birth control pills, diet, pregnancy, certain cosmetics, humid and hot weather and it may run in the family. The skin has oil producing sebaceous glands that can be overactive where more oil will be produced from the pores. This will leave your skin shiny, thick, and leave it with a dull color on your face.

A good way to keep your skin from getting oily is to wash your face daily with warm soapy water. This will keep your pores clean and leave it fresh instead of oily. You can also try using a clay or a mud mask.

Check to find out if your skin is sensitive and if it is, then try using white or rose-colored type clay. Also, try to use antiseptic on your face to clean it. This can be done before applying makeup and before bedtime. This skin care information will help you to keep your skin from becoming oily and have a health y glow.

About 30 minutes before taking a bath, try applying half a teaspoon of lime and cucumber juice mixed together. This will also help to keep your skin from being oily.

If you try to stay away from oily foods, this will aid in keeping your skin free of oil. Skin care has a lot to do with eating right, to keep a fresh and health y glow you should eat green leafy vegetables, which will give your body the nutrients it needs to stay health y and have that beautiful glow.

You can go online to find even more skin care tips for oily skin to keep the oil away. This will help keep pimples and blackheads away. Blemishes and acne will also start to fade away with the best skin care.

As long as you keep a good health y diet and take the steps to keeping your skin clean from being oily, then you will have no problems with oily skin anymore. Therefore, check online or you can even go to bookstores or your library to read more about oily skin and the skin care you can do to keep it looking health y and beautiful.

Having a flawless and health y skin is the desire of every one and it can be achieved easily with skin peels, also known as facial peels. A skin peel is a procedure meant to peel off the skin’s upper layer of old, dead skin cells to let the new young skin cells set on the surface.

Skin peels is beneficial for those individuals with acne, acne scarring, wrinkles fine lines, blemishes, age spots, skin decolonization, excess oil production, sun burns, blackheads, skin patches, and other age-related skin problems.

Usually the solutions of skin peel treatment include alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), tricholoracetic acid (TCA), or phenol as their exfoliating agent.

Each of these skin peel solutions varies depending on the ingredients and their intensity. However, the effect of skin peels depends on the depth of peeling on the skin. The depth of the peeling can range from superficial peel to a medium or deep peel.

The types of skin peels

Superficial peel: Also known as light or micro skin peel. It is the most popular and widely used skin peel treatment procedure. It is very simple to perform and takes much less time.

The procedure usually involves cleansing the face, applying the skin peel solution on the face and allowing it to dry for about ten minutes. The peel is then rinsed thoroughly. The skin may look pink and exhibit pale stains or spots, which do lighten within a few hours.

This procedure may cause mild tingling sensation, but peels off the top layer of the skin cells and exfoliate the skin lightly to provide health y skin. There are no side-effects associated with the procedure.

However, in some rare cases, the procedure can develop a new skin with extreme pigments. This can turn to hyper pigmentation where the patches appear dark in sunlight. You can control the high-pigmentation problem with a proper care using good-quality sunscreen lotions all the time.

Medium depth peel: The procedure also involves skin cleansing, applying the skin peel evenly, but allows the skin peel solution to penetrate into the skin even more so as to diminish the wrinkles and acne scars to some extent, and to enhance the skin color, tone and texture.

After removing the solution, the area becomes whitish grey over more than a few minutes because of acid in the peel. This is counteracted by applying cool saline compressors. On the other hand, with the application of peel solution, the face may swell and cause burning sensation for 30-60 minutes after the treatment. Recovery depends on the age.

This procedure needs repeated sittings every month until you get the desired effects. Afterwards, peeling is required for every 6-12 months.

Deep peels: The procedure is very rarely preferred because it penetrates deeply into the lower layers of the skin to reduce the deeper wrinkles, fine lines and scars.

The procedure is basically done under the general anesthesia where it is injected into the skin to freeze the face. This sometimes can make you sedated. The procedure then involves skin cleansing, applying a strong peeling agent and allowing it for about half-an-hour before it is neutralized.

The procedure follows a feeling of sickness, severe pain for quite a few days. During the recovery days, itchiness can develop for about two weeks prior to the complete recovery.
